Smart Expands List Of Free-To-Access Sites In Light Of COVID-19 Scare

Smart added two free-to-access websites to its users in light of the COVID-19 scare.

Smart added two websites that users can access for free in order to ensure access to important resources on COVID-19 or coronavirus disease.

This, as Metro Manila will be placed under community quarantine for a month starting March 15, 2020, in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19. Because of community quarantine, most companies and schools were encouraged to implement a work/study from home policy to its employees.

Here is the list of free-to-access sites that Smart has to offer to its customers:

  • COVID-19 Tracker of the Department of Health (DOH)
  • Official Website of the Department of Health (DOH)
  • Official Website of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS)
  • Official Website of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA)
  • Official Website of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC)

According to PLDT-Smart Public Affairs Head Ramon R. Isberto, Smart “empower the public by helping them get information that will enable them to protect themselves, their families, and communities” by providing free access to these websites as mentioned above.
