Senator Bong Go Exposed to COVID-Positive Lawmaker
SENATOR BONG GO – Philippine Senator Christopher Go will under a self-quarantine following an exposure to a lawmaker who tested positive for COVID-19.
Among the coronavirus patients in the Philippines are known personalities in the different fields. There are those who tested positive in the political arena.
The first senator who tested positive for COVID-19 is Senator Migz Zubiri. Yesterday, Sen. Koko Pimentel also confirmed that he tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus.
In the House of Representatives, ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Eric Go Yap tested positive for coronavirus. Prior to it, he has attended a meeting in the Malacanang Palace and a special session in the congress.
Currently, the authorities are tracing the people that Yap had a contact with. One of them is Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Senator Bong Go is set to undergo a self-quarantine. It is really a protocol that all who have exposure to individuals who tested positive for coronavirus will undergo a self-quarantine.
“I am left with no choice but to comply,” the Senator said according to the report.
Previously, Go tested for coronavirus. It was after a resource person in a hearing held in the Senate tested positive for COVID-19. Several other lawmakers also tested for the disease.
