Saudi Arabia Records 1st Case of 2019 Novel Coronavirus

SAUDI ARABIA – Its health ministry confirmed the 1st case of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the country.

Unfortunately, every day, more and more countries are recording their first cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. This disease has put several nations on a tough fight.

The COVID-19 as what it is officially called first emerged in Wuhan City in the province of Hubei in China. The city is now under a mandatory lock-down. More than 70,000 people were infected by the disease in China and at least 1,200 died.

Several other countries also have confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Among them are Iran, Italy, and South Korea which are now on a tight watch after their number of infected cases greatly increased.

The Philippines, United States, France, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore also have confirmed cases of the COVID-19. Sri Lanka, Egypt, and Mexico also got infections.

Recently, another country, Saudi Arabia, confirmed its 1st case of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Based on a report on Al Jazeera, it was confirmed by the country’s health ministry.

Saudi’s Press Agency reported that the patient was from Iran who reached Saudi through Bahrain. Based on the report, a test has already been done on the man and the infection was confirmed.

According to the report, the health ministry assured that samples were already taken from those people the patient had a close contact with. The results may arrive soon.
