Italy Coronavirus Death Toll Now Surpass 7,500-Mark

Update on the Italy Coronavirus Death Toll As of March 26, 2020

ITALY CORONAVIRUS DEATH TOLL – The total number of deaths in Italy due to COVID-19 has surpassed 7,500.

Currently, Italy is the top country that is suffering greatly from the impacts of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak. The said nation is now under a total lockdown.

Initial, the travel restrictions and several other strict protocols were only implemented in the Lombardy region, the epicenter of COVID-19 in the country.

However, despite the partial lockdown imposed by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, the number of infected cases and deaths due to COVID-19 continued to rise. It prompted the Italian Prime Minister to extend the lockdown to the whole country.

Unfortunately, for several days now, Italy is recorded hundreds of deaths due to coronavirus daily. Over 2,600 of its medical personnel were also infected by the said contagious disease.

Based on a global tally of Worldometer, in just 24 hours, the country recently recorded 683 deaths due to COVID-19. Lombardy region is the area hit the hardest by the disease.

The recent addition brings the total Italy coronavirus death toll to 7,503. Based on the tally, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country has reached 74,386 after a recent addition of over 5,000 cases in just a day.
