ITALY CORONAVIRUS DEATHS – Over 700 people died in Italy due to the COVID-19 in just 224 hours.

Sadly, Italy‘s really hit hard by the 2019 novel coronavirus, officially called as COVID-19. The country is now under a total lockdown.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s lockdown order initially covered only 14 provinces and the Lombardy region, the epicenter of the virus in the country.

However, the cases of coronavirus in Italy continued to increase – both the infected and the death. The continuous rise on the numbers prompted the Prime Minister to have the country under a total lockdown.

For several days now, Italy is recording hundreds of death daily. Its death toll has even surpassed the total number of COVID-19 deaths recorded in China, where the virus first emerged, which is 3,277.

Based on a report on GMA News, there are 743 Italy coronavirus deaths recently recorded by the authorities. According to the Civil Protection Agency, the total death toll now is 6,820.

From 63,927, the total number of coronavirus cases confirmed in Italy rose to 69,176 in just 24 hours. Based on the report, it was an 8.2% increase.

With regards to the recoveries, 8,326 coronavirus patients in Italy have recovered. A total of 3,396 patients are currently fighting for their lives in the intensive care units.
