DOH Releases Update on Philippines’ Coronavirus Cases

DOH – The Department of Health confirmed 272 new cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Philippines.

Currently, the Philippines is witnessing an upward trend of the confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country. Yesterday, the health department reported that the total cases of COVID-19 reached 803.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte placed the entire Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine to curb the spread of the disease. Also, he declared a state of calamity in the whole Philippines so local government units (LGUs) can help their constituents.

Most provinces, cities, and municipalities in the Philippines are also observing a quarantine. Everyone is advised to stay at home to prevent contracting or spreading the virus.

Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) gave an update on the confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Philippines. There are 272 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total to 1,075 based on a post of Manila Bulletin.

Out of the 1,075 confirmed cases, 35 patients have already recovered from coronavirus. Based on the post, 68 patients have died of the disease.
