GSIS To Release Members’ Pension Earlier Than Original Schedule

GSIS will be releasing pensions of its members earlier than its original schedule.

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Saturday announced that it will be releasing pensions of its members earlier than its original schedule.

This, in order to help increase their needs in view of the enhanced community quarantine over the entire Luzon.

Rolando Macasaet, the president and general manager of the Government Service Insurance System, said in an interview that the members’ pensions will be disbursed through their ATM cards at 9:00 in the afternoon on April 1, adding that members can withdraw their pensions by April 2.

Macasaet also said that the members’ pensions were usually released every 8th day of the month.

Also, the Government Service Insurance System granted a one month grace period to its members for paying their premiums, remittances, and loans, which was scheduled on May 10, 2020.

The GSIS was also offering an emergency loan of PHP 20,000 to its active members and pensioners with an interest rate of 6 percent per annum which was payable in three (3) years.
