DOH Gives Update on New Coronavirus Cases in the Philippines
DOH – The Department of Health confirmed 128 new cases of coronavirus in the Philippines.
PH is now fighting against the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Officially called as COVID-19, the said disease has cost over 33,000 lives across the globe.
COVID-19 also caused several countries to lock down their borders to prevent the spread of the disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared it as pandemic – its effects is far beyond the expectations for the disease.
Sadly, in the Philippines, twelve (12) doctors have died fighting against the coronavirus. Most of them contracted the disease while treating COVID-19 positive patients.
Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) gave an update on the coronavirus cases in the Philippines. Based on the update of the health department aired in GMA News TV Dobol B, 128 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded.
The recent addition to the number of confirmed coronavirus cases bring the total to 1546 from 1418. According to DOH, the recoveries remain at 42 while seven (7) patients died today. It brings the death toll to 78.
Currently, the entire Luzon is under an enhanced community quarantine. Several provinces, cities, and municipalities also implement ECQ to prevent the spread of the disease by limiting the movements of the people.
