Update on Total Coronavirus Cases in Philippines Now
CORONAVIRUS CASES IN PHILIPPINES – A total of 90 new cases of COVID-19 were recently recorded in the Philippines.
The 2019 novel coronavirus, officially called as COVID-19, has raised global public awareness on health. The said disease which exhibits flu-like symptoms has already taken more than 18,000 lives worldwide.
The Philippines is one of the countries affected by the pandemic. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has declared a state of calamity in the country over coronavirus.
Also, the Chief Executive has placed the entire Luzon, where most COVID-19 cases were recorded, under an enhanced community quarantine. Everyone is encouraged to stay at home to curb the spread of the disease.
Based on the latest update from the Department of Health (DOH), 90 new coronavirus cases in the Philippines were recently recorded. It brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 552.
According to DOH, there are two (2) new patients who recovered from the disease. The total recoveries now is 20. Two (2) additional deaths were also recovered bringing the death toll to 35.
