Coronavirus Patients in PH Include 6 Philippine Heart Center Doctors As Confirmed by PHC

PHILIPPINE HEART CENTER DOCTORS – The PHC confirmed that at least six (6) of their doctors have tested positive for coronavirus.

Nowadays, everyone is encouraged to stay at home for their safety and the safety of the people around them. The advisory followed the increasing cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19 in the Philippines.

Based on the latest update from the Department of Health (DOH), there is a now a total of 501 cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines. Nineteen (19) patients have recovered from the disease while the death toll is at 33.

The said disease was first recorded in Wuhan City, China. Now, several countries across the globe including United States, Italy, and Spain are suffering from its outbreak.

Sadly, in the Philippines, several doctors died due to COVID-19. Most of them contracted the disease while treating coronavirus-positive patients.

Based on a report on GMA News, PHC Executive Director Dr. Joel Abanilla confirmed that at least six (6) Philippine Heart Center Doctors tested positive for coronavirus. Two of them, Dr. Israel Bactol and Dr. Raul Diaz Jara, have died of the disease.

The PHC Executive Director expressed that the other four (4) Philippine Health Center doctors who tested positive for COVID-19 are well based on the report.

The authorities are currently tracking the people who had contact with Dr. Jara to check on how he contracted the disease.

  2. Why not give the names of auch 4 PHC doctors who got tested positive, so that those patients and personnel who may have had contact with them at the hospital should already know that they now need to undergo covid testing.
