Violators Of Lockdown Curfew Can Be Arrested, Says PNP

Violators can be arrested for violating the curfews that were imposed by the LGUs during the month-long Luzon lockdown, according to PNP.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday said that violators can be arrested for violating the curfews that were imposed by the local government units during the month-long Luzon lockdown.

This, as Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, deputy chief for operations of the Philippine National Police, said that the citizens should stay inside their houses while the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon was still in effect until April 12 in order to aid in government efforts to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

In a televised press briefing, Eleazar said that the said curfew was being implemented bu the local government units in order for the citizens to stay inside their houses, adding that he asked barangay tanods to assist in reminding the citizens in their areas to stay inside their houses.
