1st COVID-19 Case in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental Confirmed by City Mayor
BACOLOD CITY – The said city in Negros Occidental confirmed its first case of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19.
Every day, additional confirmed cases of the 2019 coronavirus, officially called as COVID-19, are recorded by the Department of Health (DOH).
For today, there health department confirmed 13 new cases of coronavirus in the country. It brings the total number of cases from 217 to 230.
In PH, eighteen (18) have died of coronavirus. There were eight (8) coronavirus patients who have already recovered.
Recently, a news update about coronavirus in PH crossed the surface. Based on a report of The Visayan Daily Star, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia confirmed the 1st case of COVID-19 in the city. It is one of the cities in Negros Occidental province.
According to the post, the coronavirus patient in Bacolod is a 56-year-old man. He has a travel history to London and is now admitted in an undisclosed hospital.
Reportedly, the patient is now under isolation. Bacolod is current under a community quarantine.
