Peter Dutton, Australian Minister for Home Affairs, Tests Positive for Coronavirus
AUSTRALIAN MINISTER – Peter Dutton, the ministry of Australia for home affairs, was confirmed positive for coronavirus.
Australia is one of the countries affected by the 2019 novel coronavirus, officially called as COVID-19 as named by the World Health Organization (WHO). The said disease has undeniably shaken the world.
WHO declared the COVID-19 as pandemic – the extent of its effect was greater than what is expected. Several countries across the globe have also imposed lock-down over it.
The new coronavirus was first recorded in China. It has infected more than 80,000 people in China and at least 3,000 died of the said disease.
The 2019 novel coronavirus exempts no one – not any progressive country nor wealthy individual. Most people are those who usually have to engage with the public.
Recently, an Australian minister, Peter Dutton, tested positive for coronavirus. Based on a report on BBC, the said personality is Australia’s minister for home affairs.
According to Dutton, he woke up with fever and sore throat so he immediately reached out to the health department in Queensland. Based on the report, the Australian minister who tested positive for coronavirus is now confined in a hospital.
“It is the policy of Queensland Health that anyone who tests positive is to be admitted into hospital and I have complied with their advice,” he said.
Currently, there are 156 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia. The count includes American actor Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson.
