Authorities Reveal the Test Results of 2 Suspected Coronavirus Patients in Negros Oriental

RESULTS OF 2 SUSPECTED CORONAVIRUS PATIENTS – The results of the laboratory test of the two (2) suspected coronavirus cases in Negros Oriental were released.

One of the provinces in Philippines were there were a lot of people quarantined and monitored as part of the prevention of the spread of the novel coronavirus is Negros Oriental.

Meanwhile, all the patients quarantined and monitored either did not show coronavirus symptoms or tested negative for the disease that was first recorded in China. The authorities previously revealed that they were all discharged from the hospital.

However, recently, the authorities confirmed that two (2) people are quarantined in a hospital in the province as they exhibit coughing. The couple, a Belgian national and a Filipina, came from Wuhan.

Results of 2 Suspected Coronavirus Patients in Negros

The couple flew from Wuhan City, the epicenter of the coronavirus in China, to Vietnam. However, they were not able to return to Wuhan due to the lock-down as the virus infected more than 60,000 people.

Instead, the couple flew to Manila and then visited certain places like Bohol, Siquijor, and Dumaguete. After exhibiting cough and sore throat, they got admitted at Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital.

The samples of the couple were sent for checking. Recently, the test results of 2 suspected coronavirus patients in Negros Oriental were released.

Based on a report in ABS-CBN News, the authorities revealed that the test results of 2 suspected coronavirus patients in Negros Oriental are both negative for COVID-19.

Despite the negative results, according to the spokesperson of the province, the patients will remain confined in the hospital. The couple’s blood pressure levels are still under observation based on the report.

Currently, there is no more patient under investigation or PUI in the province. Also, there is no patient under monitoring or PUM.
