The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) has postponed the homecoming of its graduates this month due to the 2019 novel coronavirus, said PMAAAI.
This, as the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc. (PMAAAI) said that the homecoming was initially set on Feb. 14-15. The association added that the supposed 2-day homecoming event in Fort Del Pilar in Baguio City will be shortened to one day and rescheduled to February 22.
The PMAAAI also said that PMA Superintendent Allan Cusi and Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong backed the postponement of the annual homecoming event that usually draws around 2,000 PMA graduates.
The association added that the postponement of PMA’s annual homecoming event was “in deference to health and public safety concerns regarding nCoV.” The PMAAAI also said that Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong, who was a graduate of the PMA class ’82, coordinated with Baguio hotels and restaurants, and there would be no fees or surcharge for rebooking reservations.
