Man Runs Marathon In Apartment As Exercise To Fight COVID-19

A Chinese runner jogged the equivalent of an ultra-marathon inside his small apartment in order to fight COVID-19 through exercise.

This, after China was at the center of an outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus, now named COVID-19. People in China tend to have exercise in an alternative way — including lifting bottles, push-ups with their children on their backs, and even jogging inside the house.

Pan Shancu, a fanatic runner, easily won the “unofficial gold medal,” saying that he jogged 66 kilometers in a loop at his apartment in a running time of six hours and 41 minutes. He also said that he has a data tracker with him.

In an interview with AFP News through a phone patch, Pan Shancu admitted that he felt “a little dizzy at first, but you get used to it after you circle many times,” adding that he wanted to run 100 kilometers outside his apartment.
