Celebrity fortune-teller Madam Auring, who was popular during the 1990s is living this life now.

Born Aurea Sabalboro, her popularity skyrocketed when she predicted that Amparo Munoz would the Miss Universe 1974. Because of that, famous boxer Muhammad Ali decided to seek her advice regarding his ‘Thrilla in Manila’ fight against Joe Frazier.

The Filipina fortune-teller said that Ali will win and that happened. Due to that, the famous boxer called her Madam Auring. Following that, several big names in the entertainment industry asked for her advice such as First Lady Imelda Marcos, Nora Aunor, Fernando Poe, Jr., President Joseph Estrada, Rolando Navarette, and Hollywood actors Robert Duvall and Franco Nero.

She also had predictions when it comes to personalities in politics such as the win of former President Fidel V. Ramos against Miriam Defensor-Santiago, the full term of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and the breakup of former President Noynoy Aquino with Shalani Soledad.

Her name became popular not just because of her notable predictions but also because she was involved in controversies. This is aside from the fact that there was a point in her life that she gate-crashed an event.

Aside from fortune-telling, Madam Auring also ventured into acting. She made several TV and movie appearances such as in Iskul Bukol: 20 Years After (The Ungasis and Escaleras Adventure), Manay po 2: Overload, and Apat dapat, dapat apat: Friends 4 lyf and death.

Although she is not active now on TV, she still does fortune-telling in a mall in Caloocan City, based on the YouTube video from Dalton Channel. The celebrity fortune-teller also owns a derma and massage clinic named “Hawak Kamay”.
