Latest Count of Suspected Coronavirus Cases in PH As to the DOH
DOH – The Department of Health revealed the latest count of the suspected cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the Philippines.
Currently, the Philippine government, the health department, and the other responsible offices are tightly monitoring the suspected cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the Philippines.
The first coronavirus death case was recorded in the Philippines last Sunday. The condition of the patient, a 44-year-old Chinese man who was the companion of the first coronavirus case in PH, quickly deteriorated in the last 24 hours before he passed away according to the Department of Health.
Undeniably, the death of the Chinese man has triggered the alarms of the nCoV in the Philippines. Currently, there are several suspected cases of the disease that are strictly monitored.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Department of Health (DOH) revealed that there are now 105 suspected coronavirus cases in the Philippines. The recent addition is a total of 25 patients.
Also, for the first time, Calabarzon and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) reported suspected cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. According to the report, the health department linked the increase in the number of suspected cases to the “strengthened surveillance system and contact tracing”.
The authorities moved to backtracked the individuals that the Chinese couple who tested positive for nCoV had a contact with. They’ve been to Cebu and Dumaguete before they flew to Manila where the Chinese woman is admitted in San Lazaro Hospital now.
One of those individuals is a tricycle driver in Dumaguete City. He drove for the couple to a resort in Dauin, Negros Oriental. Reportedly, the driver is now isolated from his family.
