Current Count of Suspected Coronavirus Cases in PH As To DOH
DOH – The Department of Health gave an update on the current number of suspected coronavirus cases in the Philippines.
The Philippines is one of the countries that is undeniably greatly affected by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in China. It has three (3) confirmed cases and the first death outside China was recorded in PH.
Many Filipinos are worried about their health and safety. Amid the tension, the authorities remind the public not to panic but instead to observe proper hygiene, boost their immunity, and avoid crowded places as much as possible.
The authorities had to trace all the people who had contact with the confirmed coronavirus patients in the country. The patients were all Chinese people who came from China.
The people who had contact with the said coronavirus patients are advised to undergo quarantine. It is a two-week period of strict monitoring of the health and less contact with other people to curb the spread of the virus in case.
Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) gave an update on the current number of suspected coronavirus cases in the Philippines. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, it is now at 281.
According to the health department, out of the 281 suspected nCoV cases, 240 are confined in the different hospitals while 24 have already been discharged. Based on the report, two (2) patients died and 15 others refused to be admitted to a hospital.
The first batch of the Filipinos from China have already arrived in the Philippines. They are currently quarantined at the Athlete’s Village in New Clark City, Tarlac.
