New Revelations From Coronavirus Study Carried Out in China
CORONAVIRUS STUDY – A big study carried out in China made new revelations about the rampant disease.
Coronavirus has not only put concerns to China but as well as the global arena. It became an international concern following several confirmed cases in several countries and the increasing number of infected people in China.
The Philippines, France, Japan, Hong Kong, and the United States are just a few of the countries with confirmed coronavirus cases. In China, the disease that was first recorded in Wuhan City has infected more than 60,000 people.
In fact, Wuhan is now under a lock-down as a move to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus. In records, it has already surpassed the death toll of SARS.
Recently, a coronavirus study was lodged by Chinese scientists at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention based on a report on CNN. It made new revelations about the disease.
The experts found out that coronavirus is more contagious than the viruses that caused SARS and MERS. Its infection rate is related to the huge death toll but it is not as fatal as SARS and MERS.
Based on the report, the coronavirus study in China also found out that the people who are most at risk for the disease are those with cardiovascular diseases. Also, most coronavirus death cases are older people with pre-existing medical conditions when they were infected by nCoV.
Amid the decreasing cases of coronavirus around the world, the World Health Organization (WHO) reminded to make a cautious analysis. The director general, Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed that it is “too early to tell if this reported decline will continue”.
