China Postpones Major Auto Show Due To COVID-19 Outbreak

Auto China 2020 was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

China rescheduled its annual auto show, which was one of the industry’s biggest international events, due to an outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus, now COVID-19.

This, as the organizers of Auto China 2020 said in a statement that the said event was originally scheduled for April 21-30 in Beijing and would be rescheduled to an undetermined date.

The annual Auto China show has taken on increasingly heft as global manufacturers were attempting to grow their sales in China’s market for cars, trucks, vans, and luxury vehicles.

Aside from Auto China 2020, the latest major events in China and other countries were also canceled or postponed out of COVID-19 fears — including the Mobile World Congress in Spain, a major art festival in Hong Kong, and Formula 1 Grand Prix in Shanghai.
