Embratur, a tourism board of Brazil, mistakenly shared @withlai’s post on its own official Instagram account, admitting that @withlai’s message was “shared by mistake.” Following Embratur’s statement, @withlai wrote a note on her Instagram stories (now on her “Rio Stories” highlights), saying that the person who mistakenly shared her post “doesn’t get in trouble.”

Instagram user @withlai, who was a travel photographer, said that she came to Brazil every two years just to visit her family. She added that she preferred to share her “personal experiences and opinions” on her Instagram account.
