Award-winning former child star RR Herrera is living this kind of life now after he left the entertainment industry.
RR started his showbiz career in he was just 7 years old through the movie Agila ng Maynila in 1988. He was hailed as the Best Child Performer in Metro Manila Film Festiva that year. Aside from this, he also won the FAMAS Best Child Actor trophy for the movie Rosenda in 1989.
In 1992, he was nominated in FAMAS Awards for Best Child Actor for the movie Batas .45 and his other nominations were FAMAS Awards 1991 as Best Child Actor for Bala At Rosaryo, Metro Manila Film Festival 1990 as Best Child Performer for Andrea, Paano Ba ang Maging Isang Ina?, and FAMAS Awards 1988 as Best Supporting Actor for Ex-Army.
Indeed, the former child star’s career soared high because of his talent. However, when he got older, RR chose a different career. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Technology. Based on the article from Abante, the former child star is currently the regional director of TrainStation Philippines. It is a company that “specializes in corporate programs and public training workshops for organizational development and personal enhancement.”
RR Herrera got married to Carelle Mangaliag who was one of the singers for the 1995 World Youth Day Philippines theme song, ‘Tell the World of His Love’. Their wedding was quite memorable because it was a musical ceremony. They now have a son.
Aside from his career away from the glitz and glamour of showbiz, the former child star is also a licensed SCUBA diver and hobbyist underwater photographer now.
