Volleyball player Michele Gumabao announced that she has submitted her application for the first-ever Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
In an Instagram post, Michele Gumabao said that she was ready to “trading in my sneakers one more time” as she was about to apply the Miss Universe Philippines.
Michele Gumabao was trained by Aces and Queens — the same beauty camp of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, and Miss World 2013 Megan Young.
Aside from Gumabao, other confirmed applicants — including Pauline Amelinckx, Maria Isabela Galeria, Apriel Smith, Kia Moreno, Marí Danica Madrid Reynes, Paula Ortega, Riana Pangindian, Lou Dominique Piczon, and Hannah Arnold — were also trained by Aces and Queens.
Gumabao entered the pageant scene in 2018 and she was part of the winning batch that included Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman. She was eyeing to represent Quezon City in the first-ever Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
