Chantal Umali, the girl from a hotdog commercial that became popular due to the line “goodbye Carlo” is living this kind of life now.
Back in the 90s, a TV advertisement for a popular brand of hotdog became famous. It featured a young girl who had a crush on a boy named Carlo. Since that girl was chubby and wanted to change that, she tried to make a list of the foods she will no longer eat.
However, instead of saying goodbye to hotdogs, the girl said goodbye to her crush. From that commercial, Chantal became a household name in that era.
Behind her popularity as a cute chubby girl in a hotdog commercial, many might not know that she struggled emotionally because of her weight, especially after giving birth to her daughter Elliana.
Based on the report from GMA, Chantal Umali got married to Leo Mercado. However, on the Instagram bio of the former child star, it was written that she is a “Working Single Mom”.
It was also stated in her bio that a “Student of Yoga”. Chantal said that yoga was the major factor in why she loses weight. She became a fitness enthusiast and based on the article, she is now a yoga instructor.
On her Instagram account, she shares her yoga session while giving information to her social media followers regarding her fitness routine. Her advice is: “Ang sarap mag explore ng possibilities. Practice lang ng practice. It’s okay to make mistakes, it’s okay to take your time. We don’t have to get it right, right away. We just need to keep trying.
