A veterinarian was shot dead by unidentified suspects on Monday, December 30, at Barangay Biasong in Talisay City. This incident happened at around 2:00 AM.
A resident of Barangay Biasong said that the victim was identified as Dr. Neil Boligao, who was a private veterinarian and a meat businessman. Talisay City Police Station Patrolman Eleazar Belciña said that Dr. Neil Boligao was last seen entering a slaughterhouse on Sunday, December 29, at around 8:00 in the evening.
He added that as Dr. Neil Boligao was leaving the slaughterhouse using his white pick-up truck, two unidentified suspects were in front of him while riding a motorcycle and started shooting him. The police of Talisay City recovered three bullet shells at the crime scene. Dr. Neil Boligao received multiple gunshot wounds on his body.
Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas, the mayor of Talisay City, had tasked the police to conduct an investigation on veterinarian’s death.
