Samsung Filed Five Design Patents for Galaxy Phones With Status Indicator On Punch-Hole Front Camera
Samsung filed design patents for its upcoming Galaxy phones that would have a status indicator on a single-punch-hole or dual-punch-hole front camera.
This, as Samsung Electronics filed five design patents with China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) last 2019 and presented to the public last May 8, 2020. All patents presented below were only focused on the front camera module with different representations and positions.
Patent No. 1
Based on the patent above, the rectangular-shaped status indicator was placed around a dual-punch-hole front camera. Three different positions were presented and two status indicators have shown — one with a straight border and one with a broken border.

Patent No. 3
Based on the patent above, the linear-shaped status indicator was placed either on the top, below, or on the left or right portion of a dual-punch-hole front camera.

Based on the patent above, the oval-shaped status indicator was placed around a dual-punch-hole front camera. Two status indicators were presented — one with a straight border and one with a broken border.
