Hipon Girl’s Higantes Festival-themed costume Creates Buzz On Social Media

HIPON GIRL – The Higantes Festival-themed costume of Hipon Girl for the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant is creating a buzz on social media.

Herlene Nicole Budol, popularly known as comedian Hipon Girl has started her journey as a beauty queen. She’s one of the semi-finalists of the national pageant Bb. Pilipinas 2022.

In an Instagram post, the former Wowowin host opened up that she could not help but get emotional after being one of the top 40. Hipon is representing Angono, Rizal. The coronation night will be held on July 31 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Bb. Pilipinas candidates will be competing for four titles: Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, Bb. Pilipinas Globe, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International, and Bb. Pilipinas International. In April, Hipon Girl explicitly said that she wanted to bring home the Miss Grand International Philippines crown and title.

The 22-year-old aspiring beauty queen said she will be advocating autism awareness and detection during her stint in the pageant. During the Bb. Pilipinas talent portion, she stood out to show off her abilities and talents.

Hipon’s performance looked like a concert as she sang and danced with her six (6) backup dancers. In her IG post, she said she dedicated her performance to the LGBTQIA+ members.

Hipon Girl’s national costume for the pageant is creating a buzz on social media. Her manager Wilbert Tolentino revealed that the Higantes Festival-themed costume weighs three times more than Hipon’s weight. It is designed by Filipino fashion designer Patrick Isorena while the cape was hand-painted by an Angono-based visual artist named Ebok Sausa Pinpiño.

The entrepreneur also said that it is one of the most expensive costumes to be used by a candidate. “National costume niya magtatatak sa kanya kasi isa siya sa pinaka-expensive na costume at siyempre kilala ang Angono na Art Capital of the Philippines,” he said.
