Here’s what happened to Dagul after his stint on Goin’ Bulilit
DAGUL – The comedian-actor turned emotional while giving an update about his life after his stint on gag show, Goin’ Bulilit.
Dagul, whose real name is Romeo “Romy” Pastrana is an actor, comedian, and politician. He has dwarfism.
He was scouted by singer-host Randy Santiago in 1998 who would later dub him as “Dagul” which is a colloquial term in Pampanga meaning tall or big which contrasts his short height.
Dagul rose to fame when he became the sparring partner of long Mejia in GMA’s defunct comedy sitcom Kool Ka Lang.
They later transferred to ABS-CBN until their tandem split up.
Dagul became a mainstay of the defunct sitcom Ok Fine Whatever and Goin’ Bulilit. He is the only adult in the hit children’s Sunday gag show and unlike the other child cast from the show, he never “graduate”.
Meanwhile, in the latest vlog of Ogie Diaz where Dagul was a guest, the comedian couldn’t help but turned emotional while sharing his story.
It was in 2019 when he made showbiz hiatus amid running for councilor in Montalban, Rizal. According to him, he did not leave Goin’ Bulilit but was told to rest for a while since it’s already a campaign period.
Apparently, he did not win the election, and a few months after he returned to the program, the show stopped.
He admitted that his life now has been difficult compared to while he was in showbiz.
Presently, he works as the head of the command center in their barangay.
