Here’s the reason why VP Robredo declined the invitation of DZRH
LENI ROBREDO – The presidential aspirant and incumbent vice president will not attend the “Presidential Job Interviews” of DZRH.
Robredo is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.
Together with her runningmate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, they will go against the tandem of; former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
The top presidential aspirants will have simultaneous interviews ahead of the elections.
However, Robredo allegedly declined the invitation of DZRH and the Manila Times for a presidentiables interview.
This was announced by Political Science Professor Antonio Contreras, one of the hosts of the said program, who noted in a Facebook post that Robredo did not accept their invitation.
It’s obvious that Contreras regrets her absence in the said interview since he has a lot of questions to ask with Robredo.
On the other hand, Contreras plead with the netizens to respect Robredo’s decision.
Meanwhile, Robredo has issued a statement regarding this matter.
According to her, she was invited to an interview with DZRH, initially set earlier this month but later told it was moved. She said the new schedule was in conflict with her commitments lined up.
She also stressed that she’s available next week if the radio station adjusts the schedule.
Among those who have confirmed that they will be attending the interview are former Senator Bongbong Marcos, Leody De Guzman, Sen. Ping Lacson, and Sen. Manny Pacquiao.
Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno has yet to confirm if he will be attending the said interview.
Here’s the interview schedules:
- Bongbong Marcos, Tuesday, 25 January, 4 – 6:30 pm
- Leody De Guzman, Wednesday, 26 January, 4 – 6:30 pm
- Ping Lacson, Friday, 28 January, 4 – 6:30 pm
