Quarantine hotel of Poblacion Girl temporarily closes down
BERJAYA HOTEL – The facility where the woman known as Poblacion Girl skipped her quarantine was temporarily shut down.
A Filipina who slip out of the hotel where she’s quarantined, partied in Makati City, and later tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 is making a buzz online.
It was on December 22 when Poblacion Girl returned to the Philippines all the way from Los Angeles, California in the US.
She was later quarantined at Berjaya Hotel but on the 23rd, she went to Barangay Poblacion in Makati City to attend a party.
On December 27, the results of her RTPCR test came and it turned out that she’s positive for the coronavirus.
Two days later, she was taken to the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) facility and underwent swab testing. Her swab specimen is sent to the Philippine Genome Center to determine which coronavirus variant she was infected with.
Meanwhile, the local government of Makati thru its Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) has shut down the hotel where Poblacion Girl skipped her quarantine due to a breach of protocol.
The hotel was closed effectively at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2022. Aside from the closure, the hotel will be padlocked starting Friday, Jan. 7.
Prior to that, the Department of Tourism (DOT) evoked its permit as a multi-use facility.
Meanwhile, persons under quarantine in the said hotel will be relocated amid the time left from the time of the effectivity of the closure, up to the time that the hotel will be padlocked.
