Wency Cornejo: “Wala akong problema dyan pero kung di nyo type ang Uniteam ni Sara at BBM”
WENCY CORNEJO – The singer vowed support to the Uniteam of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
BBM is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.
Together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, they will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
The two have been in different parts of the country, conducting caravan in preparation for next year’s poll.
Their tandem is considered one of the controversial team up in Philippine politics.
A lot of personalities have already expressed their support to the tandem of BBM and Sara and among those is OPM legend, Wency Cornejo.
In his Facebook post, the eldest son of veteran journalist Mel Tiangco, claimed that he has no problem with whom the people will choose in the coming elections.
But he appealed to netizens not to interfere with his decision to support the Uniteam of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte.
He stressed that he will not change his mind, especially since some netizens have criticized him for supporting their tandem.
Meanwhile, Wency Cornejo rose to fame as the vocalist of the Filipino rock band, AfterImage, which was active in the late 80s and 1990s.
The band was behind the commercially popular songs “Habang May Buhay”, “Next in Line”, and “Mangarap Ka”.
After disbanding, Wency Cornejo, the band’s vocalist, pursued a solo career.
