HARRY ROQUE – Here’s what the former Presidential spokesperson and senatorial aspirant said about his decision to join the slate of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
On Thursday, Roque said that he joined the slate of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte because no other candidate invited him to join their slate in the 2022 elections.
Roque said during the campaign trail in Batangas province.
Roque made the remark after he accepted the adoption of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) as a guest candidate for senator in the 2022 elections. He likewise argued that Bongbong has the longest experience in politics among the presidential candidates.
Nonetheless, the former Palace spokesman said that he will still join President Rodrigo Duterte’s senatorial campaign trail.

In a letter sent to the PFP chairman last November 25, Roque expressed his desire to accept the adoption of the party as a guest candidate for senator.
Meanwhile, the former Palace spokesman said that he has not seen any corruption and human rights charges filed against Bongbong Marcos, saying that the former senator was only 15 years old in 1972 when his father, the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr, declared martial law.
In an interview on One PH’s “Sa Totoo Lang” last Thursday, Roque said that the presidential aspirant chose not to adopt him as a senatorial bet in the slate for previously serving as the Presidential spokesperson.
However, he refused to name the presidential aspirant who decided not to include him in the senatorial slate.
Roque shared that he had hard feelings for one presidential candidate because he spoke up to defend the said person during the times when the said person was in a difficult state.
