Isko Moreno and Willie Ong filed their COC for president and vice president, respectively, in the 2022 elections.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and his running mate Willie Ong filed their certificates of candidacy (COC) for president and vice president, respectively, in the 2022 elections.
Moreno and Ong arrived at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila in Pasay City at around 11:30 am Monday.
The day was special for the presidential aspirant as the filing coincided with the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
Also, the date of filing of COC coincided with the birthday of the late German Moreno, who hosted “That’s Entertainment” wherein Moreno got his break as an actor.
Before heading to Sofitel, Moreno led the flag-raising ceremony at Manila City Hall with Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, whom he has endorsed as next Manila mayor.
“This is the time to be true to our commitment. Wag kayo malilito. Tuloy ang gobyerno sa lungsod ng Maynila… Today will be part of history and I hope it is destiny,” Moreno said in a short message at the Manila City Hall before the filing of the certificate of candidacy.
Moreno and Ong then headed to Sto. Niño de Tondo Parish (Tondo church) before filing their COC.

Moreno and Ong officially launched their tandem last September 22, promising to create a “healing” and “unifying” government that would depart from labels of “DDS” and “dilawan” in order to focus on solving the nation’s problems.
Meanwhile, Ong said that while he’s a reluctant candidate, he would champion improved pandemic response and would use his experience as a doctor to guide policy-making.
