Ian Veneracion will no longer join ABS-CBN’s “Huwag Kang Mangamba” because of this reason.
ABS-CBN recently announced that actor Ian Veneracion will no longer join the inspirational series “Huwag Kang Mangamba” because of this reason.
On Monday, ABS-CBN said in a statement released on ABS-CBN PR Instagram account that the actor will no longer be able to join the show because of “conflicts in taping schedules” as well as his “prior commitments”.
“Due to conflicts in taping schedules and his prior commitments, Ian Veneracion will no longer be able to join the new chapter of ‘Huwag Kang Mangamba’. The series will continue to offer hope and inspiration by taking viewers on a new journey with sisters Mira (Andrea Brillantes) and Joy (Francine Diaz), and introducing fresh characters in its latest chapter,” ABS-CBN said in a statement.
Last July when Dreamscape Entertainment announced that the actor would join the show in order to give life to a new character named “Elias”.
“I’m really excited kasi si Elias, darating siya sa buhay ni Mira, pero ‘di ko pwedeng sabihin sa inyo kung kaibigan ba siya, kalaban ba siya, mabait ba siya o masama. May pagka-surprise ‘yun eh, so excited ako para sa character ko,” Ian said as he talked about his role during a script reading for the show’s new cast members.

At that time, “Huwag Kang Mangamba” directors Darnal Villaflor and Manny Palo, as well as creative producer Danica Domingo, said that Ian was a “perfect choice” for the said role as they wanted to depict a “mysterious character” who will teach sisters Mira and Joy —portrayed by Andrea Brillantes and Francine Diaz, respectively — to fight for their faith in “Bro”.
Other stars who were introduced as the show’s new cast members last July were Nash Aguas, as Apollo; Andi Abaya, as Mikay; and Andrea del Rosario as Thelma.
ABS-CBN’s “Huwag Kang Mangamba” started airing last March and original cast members include Seth Fedelin, Kyle Echarri, Eula Valdez, Sylvia Sanchez, RK Bagatsing, Mylene Dizon, Nonie Buencamino, and Diether Ocampo.
To date, Ian Veneracion’s last project with ABS-CBN was the 2020 primetime series “Make It With You”.
