Manila Mayor Isko Moreno: “Ayoko ng tsubi-tsubibong buhay.”
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has remained firm on his 2022 presidential run and also ruled out possibilities of running as a vice-presidential bet under a united opposition ticket.
Moreno recently issued his remark in an interview on ANC days after formally announcing his presidential bid with Dr. Willie Ong as his running mate.
“Ayoko ng tsubi-tsubibong buhay. Kaya tayo nagkakandaloko-loko dahil sa flip-flopping. We are in a pandemic and people need decisiveness. Our lives get more challenging because of that kind of character [of being indecisive],” Moreno said when asked if he would slide down as a vice-presidential bet.
Moreno also said that he’s already satisfied with having Dr. Willie Ong as his running mate, adding that Ong will not be replaced by Senator Grace Poe.
According to him, being indecisive had been the thing of the past and he didn’t want to be the same.

Still, Moreno said that he’s in touch with all parties who wanted unity and reconciliation, including those from the Duterte administration.
“Ang unity walang pinipiling grupo. If they are for reconciliation, healing, ang unity, hindi ‘yan nakakordon,” Moreno said.
GMA News Online reported that the filing of candidacy for the 2022 elections was scheduled from October 1 to 8, 2021.
Earlier, Vice President Leni Robredo said that she’s eyeing a meeting with both Moreno and Senator Manny Pacquiao for a united opposition ticket. According to Moreno, the meeting indeed took place but refused to disclose the specific details on the matter.
Senator Pacquiao has also declared his 2022 presidential run but has no vice-presidential candidate yet.
