DepEd released its guidelines for graduation and moving up ceremonies for kindergarten, Grade 6, Grade 10, and Grade 12.
The Department of Education released its guidelines for graduation and moving up ceremonies for kindergarten, Grade 6, Grade 10, and Grade 12.
This, as the Department of Education released DO 002, S. 2020 dated March 12, 2020, implementing guidelines on the conduct of the K-12 Basic Education Program End-of-school-year (EOSY) Rites.
With the theme, “Sulong EduKalidad: Championing the Nation’s Future”, the EOSY rites will highlight the “essential role of quality education in helping Filipino learners achieve their full potential in order to fulfill their dreams and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.” In addition, the department advised schools to “elect the date” for the holding of this year’s rites within the week of April 13-17, 2020.
The releasing of guidelines for graduation and moving up ceremonies took into consideration in light of the COVID-19 public health situation. DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones previously said in an interview with GMA that schools can proceed provided that they have to comply with “strict requirements” set by the Department of Health (DOH).
