AnTuTu benchmarks were no longer available in the Google Play Store.
AnTuTu was one of the most popular benchmarking applications for Android, yet all three AnTuTu benchmarks suddenly disappeared from the Google Play Store.
These, as Android Police reported that all three AnTuTu benchmarks — AnTuTu 3DBench, AnTuTu Benchmark, and AITuTu Benchmark — were no longer available in Google Play Store. Though it wasn’t clear when exactly the disappearance of these benchmarks took place.
Sources have speculated that Cheetah Mobile was the reason behind AnTuTu’s disappearance as Google removed most applications from Cheetah Mobile due to repeated policy violations, including “information-collecting practices”. As reported by Android Police, the website of AnTuTu made “no reference to Cheetah Mobile” yet the Tianyancha business database listed Fu Sheng — the chairman/manager of Beijing AnTuTu Technology Co. — as the CEO of Cheetah Mobile.
In a report from GizChina, AnTuTu explained the reason behind the disappearance of three benchmarks from Google Play Store, clarifying that AnTuTu was “not related” to Cheetah Mobile. Amelie Liu, the Global Marketing Manager of Antutu, told GizChina that Cheetah Mobile “has never touched our Google Play account” and has “not done any promotion of Cheetah Mobile’s software.”
Liu added that the company believed that the reason for Google’s “misjudgment” was that AnTuTu “purchased and used the legal services from Cheetah Mobile”, thus, its privacy policy link used the address of cmcm.com. Also, Amelie Liu said that they hoped that Google can examine their account carefully and resolving “misunderstanding” as soon as possible.
For now, you can download these benchmarks straight from their official website.
