Japanese Billionaire Looking For Crew For First Private “Moon Trip”
TRIP TO THE MOON – Japanese Billionaire Yusaku Maezawa said that he was looking for eight people to be a part of his crew for the first private trip the to moon.
According to reports, his trip scheduled for 2023 was made possible thanks to Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Originally, he wanted to invite artists for the week-long trip to space.
Maezawa said that he wanted to “give more people from around the globe the chance to join this journey”. As such, he called out to all artist that “if you see yourself as an artist, then you are an artist”.
Currently, the first stage of the application process would run until March 14 of 2021. Maezawa, who sold his online fashion business Zozo Inc to SoftBank in 2019 said he’d be paying for the entire trip.
However, Musks’ two recent tests went up in flames, emphasizing the risks of the passengers. Still, Maezawa was left unfazed and was confident that the project would successfully launch come 2023.
