The COVID-19 vaccines can be approved as soon as 21 days under the authorization of FDA, which has now the power to issue EUA. Duterte’s decision to grant FDA with EUA was his respond to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III’s plead.
The pharmaceutical companies including Pfizer and Moderna are only some of the firms that applied for EUA of their vaccines against COVID-19. These companies applied first before the U.S. health regulators.
China’s Sinovac and Russia’s Gamaleya Research Institute were able to obtain EUA for their COVID-19 vaccines. The respective government of those companies grant their EUAs for the immediate release of the vaccine.
A lot of Filipino people that the Philippine government could address the recent coronavirus pandemic sooner or later because it affects not only the public’s health but also the country’s economy.
