Miss Universe PH 2020 Rabiya Mateo Breaks Silence on Issues
RABIYA MATEO – The Miss Universe Philippines 2020 broke her silence on the issues surrounding her victory in the national pageant.
One of the most prestigious international pageants is the Miss Universe. Undeniably, this event that gathers several of the most beautiful women across the globe is much-awaited every year.
In fact, a lot of people make the choice to stay at their house or clear their schedule to watch the said event whether live or on television.
Prior to the international pageant, countries are holding national pageants to determine who will represent them in the international category. Philippines recently held its pageant.

Rabiya Mateo from Iloilo was crowned as the Miss Universe Philippines 2020. The coronation was held at West Visayas State University.
However, following her win, there were a lot of issues and controversies. Some people visibly do not agree with Rabiya being crowned as the Miss Universe Philippines as they may have their own bets.
Recently, Rabiya Mateo broke her silence on the issues surrounding the results of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020. She admitted that she’s hurt over the issues.
Based on a post on Kapamilya Online World, Rabiya admitted that she was not “a front runner” so the people did not expect that she is the one who will be crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
“I’m sorry I’m being emotional. They are questioning you know my capability as a person as a candidate, but I know I did everything and anything,” she said.
Rabiya Mateo also denied that the question during the Q and A portion was given to her beforehand. Based on the post, she stressed that she just wanted to make Iloilo proud of her and she stressed that things can be talked about.
“At the end of the day this is a competition and being the bigger person in the picture I need to understand where they’re coming from,” the Miss Universe PH 2020 expressed.
