Paul McCartney was set to release “McCartney III” album on December.
50 years after releasing his first solo album, Paul McCartney was set to release his solo album “McCartney III” on December.
This, as the said album was a new collection of stripped-back songs all written, produced, and performed by the ex-Beatle.
Recorded this year in southern England, “McCartney III” was mostly built from Paul’s live takes on vocals and piano or guitar, overlaying his bass playing and drumming.
In a report on Reuters, Paul’s album joined two other albums — “McCartney” and “McCartney II” — created single-handedly by him at critical times in his life.
According to Paul, he’s living lockdown life on his farm with his family and he would go to his studio every day.
Paul shared that he had to do a little bit of work on some film music and that turned into the opening track of his album, adding that he thought what would he do next when the opening track was done.
He then turned to half-finished fragments he had created over the years.

“Each day I’d start recording with the instrument I wrote the song on and then gradually layer it all up, it was a lot of fun”, Paul said.
Moreover, Paul shared that he just did stuff he fancied doing and he had no idea that it would end up as an album.
Paul’s most recent album was “Egypt Station” that was released last 2018 and he’s still touring last year.
Previously, the handwritten lyrics of The Beatles’ hit “Hey Jude” was sold in an online auction for USD 910,000.
