Ogie Diaz Responds to Bashers Over Claims About Bela Padilla Issue
OGIE DIAZ – The talent manager and entertainment reporter has denied claims that he made up stories about actress Bela Padilla allegedly having a difficult attitude on set. He addressed the issue during a recent episode of “Showbiz Update,” where he responded to online critics who accused him of spreading false information and targeting the actress.
Ogie explained that he is simply reporting showbiz news and not attacking anyone personally. He pointed out that whatever they report is often criticized by viewers, whether the news is positive or negative, and asked where they are supposed to position themselves if they are criticized either way. He stressed that they do not invent stories and stand by the information they receive.
He clarified that the reports about Bela Padilla were not fabricated and came from information shared with them. He also said that their platform remains open for Bela or her camp to issue a response or clarification regarding the issue. According to him, they are willing to air her side if she chooses to speak or post a statement.
Earlier reports mentioned that Bela was allegedly becoming a source of tension on the set of the ABS-CBN action drama series “Blood vs Duty.” There were also claims of a misunderstanding between Bela and actor Baron Geisler, including an alleged incident where harsh words were reportedly used. However, these remain unconfirmed reports circulating in entertainment circles.
Ogie also encouraged fair discussion and said that if Bela wants to address the issue, she is welcome to do so through their program or social media, and they will feature her statement. He added that receiving negative comments from viewers has become normal for them as public figures in showbiz reporting.
Despite the controversy, Bela Padilla has not yet released any official response or statement regarding the allegations mentioned by Ogie Diaz.
