IMELDA SCHWEIGHART – The beauty queen has denied online claims that she was removed from the Miss Universe Philippines pageant due to misconduct, calling the allegations false and urging the public not to spread misinformation. She rejected reports that she was expelled for alleged bullying, stating that the issue is not true and was simply made up.
The controversy resurfaced after Schweighart joined the Miss Grand International All Stars competition. The organization released introduction videos of candidates from various countries, including Schweighart, who represents the Philippines alongside other delegates. Her video received mixed reactions online, with some fans praising her confidence and presence, while others shared criticism and comparisons.
Schweighart responded politely to supportive comments and expressed gratitude to her supporters. At the same time, she addressed negative claims, including reports that she was removed from Miss Universe Philippines 2026 due to misconduct. She firmly denied these allegations and said people should avoid believing false narratives.
The Miss Universe Philippines Organization previously issued a statement saying that a candidate from Kalibo, Aklan was removed after a review found actions that did not meet the competition’s standards. Although Schweighart was not directly named, many online users later associated the statement with her, leading to speculation.
In her introduction video for Miss Grand International All Stars, Schweighart said she had joined another pageant earlier this year but chose to step away after learning about MGI. She shared that she has always been passionate about pageantry and felt that Miss Grand International was the right platform for her.
