Message of Marcos Jr. to Cops amid the Christmas, New Year Celebrations
MARCOS JR. – The President ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) to ensure public safety amid the Christmas season.
While the Philippine National Police warned the public about the prohibited firecrackers for their safety, Pres. Bongbong Marcos gave an order to the PNP to ensure the public safety most especially in the streets and other public places amid the Christmas and New Year celebrations in the country.

The Philippines is one of the countries with the longest celebration of the Christmas season. When December hits, parties are usually left and right. There are family reunions, weddings, and get-together among family and friends over food. Most restaurants and events places are usually fully-booked for the Christmas parties.

Recently, during the oath-taking of the star-ranked officers of the PNP held at the Ceremonial Hall of Malacañang, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. gave a speech wherein he expressed his order to the cops to ensure the public safety amid the Christmas and New Year celebrations in the country. Based on a post of News5 on social media, he stressed that this season requires for “heightened security and vigilance”.

”As we are in the holiday season, when more people are out in public and families are on the move, this period calls for heightened security and vigilance,” the President said.
Marcos Jr. ordered the PNP to maintain visible and reassuring presence in public places, roads, transport hubs, and areas where families gather. He called on the cops to ensure public safety so that each Filipino will feel the true spirit of Christmas.
”Tiyakin ninyo ang kaligtasan ng bawat mamamayan upang tunay nating maramdaman ang saya ng Kapaskuhan nang may kapanatagan at pagkakaisa, at may tunay na ligaya,” he expressed.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos further expressed that the Christmas season reminds us that public service does not pause even in moments of celebrations. Thus, he called on the PNP to continue serving with honor, leading with purpose, and to always act in the best interest of the people.
Based on the report, the Philippine National Police has increased the number of cops that will be deployed to ensure public safety during Christmas and New Year celebrations. From 60,000 personnel deployed last year, over 100,000 cops will be deployed this year.
