Cong. Toby Tiangco Believes Pres. Bongbong Marcos Not Involved in Flood Control Mess
TOBY TIANGCO – The Navotas Congressman claimed that he allegedly witnessed President Bongbong Marcos confronting then-House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Recently, countless Filipinos were startled when Zaldy Co tagged Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former Speaker Martin Romualdez to the corruption issue in the Philippines. Through a video posted on social media, the resigned House member claimed that Marcos Jr. and Romualdez allegedly ordered him to insert P100 billion in the 2025 national budget.

Co also claimed that Marcos Jr. and Romualdez allegedly got a P56 billion all for themselves. He also confirmed that claim of his former aide, Orly Guteza, that suitcases filled with millions of money each were allegedly delivered to the residence of the former House Speaker and in Malacañang. According to him, he was allegedly warned by Romualdez not to return to the Philippines.

Zaldy Co also claimed that he did not expect that he will be supposedly used as the “poster boy” in the campaign of the Marcos Jr. administration against corruption. According to him, he did not return to the country as he was allegedly instructed by Marcos Jr. not to and was assured that he will be taken cared of.
Amid the accusations of Zaldy Co against Pres. Bongbong Marcos, Navotas City Representative Toby Tiangco believes that the President is allegedly not involved in the flood control mess. Based on a report on GMA News, the Congressman claimed that he supposedly witnessed Marcos Jr. confronting former House Speaker Martin Romualdez during a a regular family lunch in Malacañang.

“Martin, you and Zaldy—how many houses in Forbes (Park) do you plan on buying? How many planes do you need? How many Ferraris do you want? How much money do you want? How much caviar can you eat?” Tiangco said referring to PBBM’s alleged statement to Romualdez.
Based on the report, Cong. Toby Tiangco was present at the said family lunch in Malacañang last November 24 as his wife, Michelle Romualdez-Yap, is a cousin of both Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former Speaker Martin Romualdez. According to Tiangco, Marcos Jr. is allegedly not involved in budget irregularities but he is currently in a challenging situation that requires him to prove that he is not protecting his cousin.
“Naturally, people protect their relatives. But the President wanted to show the public that he would not shield his cousin and that no one is above the law,” the Navotas Congressman said.

Furthermore, Cong. Toby Tiangco also claimed that he allegedly witnessed Pres. Bongbong Marcos telling then-Speaker Martin Romualdez about the supposed corruption in the House of Representatives. Based on the report, he also claimed that the Chief Executive allegedly told the then-Speaker that he is not taking anything.
“You and Zaldy are taking in so much. The corruption in the House has become outrageous. You know for a fact, Martin, that I don’t get anything from any of that,” Tiangco said referring to the President’s supposed remarks.
Recently, aside from his accusations against Marcos Jr., Zaldy Co also tagged Ilocos Norte Cong. Sandro Marcos in the budget insertion issue in the country.
