Nadine Lustre Finally Tells the Real Story Behind Her Viral ‘Sarsa’ Photo
NADINE LUSTRE – Actress-singer Nadine Lustre finally shared the hilarious backstory behind her viral “sarsa” photo that captured the internet’s attention years ago.
Nadine Lustre recently looked back with amusement at the story behind her viral photo holding a well-known brand of sauce. During her guest appearance on “Ang Walang Kuwentang Channel,” hosted by Direk Antoinette Jadaone and JP Habac, Nadine shared the details of how the memorable picture came about.
She recalled that at the time, she and her boyfriend Chris had just finished a surfing session in Siargao and decided to grab a meal. “After naming mag-surf ni Chris, ‘yung boyfriend ko, marami kasa sa Siargao ‘yung mga stalls ng lechong manok, ‘yun ‘yung una naming nakita. So sabi ko parang hindi complete ‘yung lechon manok nang walang sarsa,” Nadine shared.
Wanting to complete their meal, she went to a nearby store to buy some sauce. “So nagpunta ako sa tindahan, naghanap ako ng sarsa. Nakakatawa ‘yun kasi nakita ko na ngang nagpi-picture ‘yung ate girl sa likod ng cashier,” she added.
At that moment, Nadine said she was already exhausted and didn’t have the energy to stop the woman from taking her picture. “Sa sobrang pagod ko, sabi ko, ‘Sige na nga.’ Kaya ganon itsura ko e. Mukha akong nalugi kasi pagod na pagod ako,” she said with a laugh.
She explained that she was still new to Siargao at the time, and many people were excited to see her in person. “Ngayon wala na silang pakialam sa akin,” Nadine jokingly said.
Despite the photo going viral, Nadine shared that she felt no annoyance or anger toward the situation. In fact, she found humor in it and appreciated how others joined in on the fun.
