Cavite Rep. Jolo Revilla Speaks on Hopes with Marcos Jr.’s Administration
JOLO REVILLA – The representative of the 1st District of Cavite claimed that he is ready to work with President Bongbong Marcos to achieve the goals of a “more progressive” society.
Several officials of the government were tagged in the flood control issue in the Philippines. According to Pres. Bongbong Marcos, he always had a suspicion of corruption in the government but he’s shocked by its scale. The supposed corruption through the flood control deals is not about millions anymore but billions.

According to Marcos Jr., nothing will happen to the Philippines if the corruption will go on. He stressed that he cannot allow it to continue even if some erring officials can stand the damages that the corruption inflicted on the lives of many Filipinos. During a podcast interview, the President also junked the accusations that he opened the issue for politics.

Several officials of the government were tagged in the flood control issue in the Philippines. Both the House of Representatives and the Senate even had a change of leadership amid the supposed multi-billion scam. Marcos Jr.’s cousin himself, Leyte Congressman Martin Romualdez who was still House speaker then was accused of allegedly receiving kickback from flood control projects. He denied the allegation.

Cong. Martin Romualdez resigned from being the House speaker amid the issue of alleged multi-billion flood control corruption. He claimed that he wants the ICI or the Independent Commission for Infrastructure to be able to fully and freely exercise their mandate to investigate without undue influence.
Sen. Chiz Escudero was also ousted from the Senate Presidency. He was issued a show cause order by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) over the P30-million campaign donation that he received from a contractor. Roberto Bernardo, a former undersecretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), also accused Escudero of allegedly receiving a P160-million flood control kickback.
Despite the many problems in the Philippines now, Pres. Bongbong Marcos previously claimed that he has no regrets in being president as it is the “greatest privilege” for him. According to the President, he has the opportunity to do something about the things that he is complaining about. Recently, Cavite 1st District Representative Jolo Revilla spoke on the President and his administration.

Cavite Rep. Jolo Revilla expressed his belief on the leadership of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on a post, he believes that the lives of the Filipino people will continuously improve under the lead of Marcos Jr.
“Sa pamumuno ni Pangulong Marcos, naniniwala akong tuloy-tuloy ang pag-angat ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino,” the Cavite Representative said.
According to Cavite Rep. Jolo Revilla, he is hoping that the Marcos Jr. administration will continue to boost its programs for affordable food, higher salary, and better healthcare services for the Filipino people. Based on the post, the son of former Senator Bong Revilla and Cavite 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado also expressed his willingness to work with the President.
“Bilang kinatawan ng unang distrito ng Cavite, handa po akong makipagtulungan sa ating Pangulo upang maisakatuparan ang mga adhikain para sa mas maunlad, mas ligtas, at mas makatarungang lipunan,” he expressed.
Former Sen. Bong Revilla is one of those politicians named in the allegations of kickback from flood control projects. Former Sen. Bong Revilla denied that accusation that he allegedly received flood control kickbacks.
