Statement of Marcos Jr. on Scale of PH Gov’t Corruption
MARCOS JR. – The President believes that nothing will happen to the Philippines if the massive corruption in the government will go on.
While in a previous podcast interview Pres. Bongbong Marcos touted the Philippine economy saying it is doing better, in the latest podcast interview of the President, he expressed his shock and disappointment over the massive corruption in the country and how it may affect our economy.

The flood control mess in the Philippines sparked the anger and disappointment of countless Filipinos. Last September 21, thousands of Filipinos were out in the streets to call for an end to corruption in the government. It was dubbed as the “Trillion March Protest”.

During his latest podcast interview which was posted on his official Facebook page, Marcos Jr. admitted that he always had suspicion of corruption in the government he was shocked by its scale. According to him, the extent of the corruption was the shocking part and he told himself that it should not go on.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that the alleged removal of the “standard procedures” by the previous administration supposedly contributed to the multi-billion corruption in the country now through the government projects. According to him, he was surprised by the removal of the standard procedures saying that the last admin did not think about it.

During the podcast interview, Marcos Jr. claimed that nothing will happen to the Philippines if the massive corruption in the government continues. According to the President, if it goes on, the country’s economy will not grow properly and it will have several impacts.
“Nothing will happen to the Philippines if this goes on. Wala na talagang mangyayari sa atin. The economy will not grow properly, people will not get help, schools will not get better, the hospitals will not get better. We will not go anywhere,” the President said.
In his previous podcast, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was asked if he ever had regrets in being the president of the country amid the many issues that are happening in the nation now.
