Ate Gay Reveals Her Neck Lump Is Shrinking After Cancer Treatment
ATE GAY – Comedian Ate Gay has given fans a reason to celebrate after sharing that the lump on her neck has significantly shrunk just days after starting cancer treatment.
Comedian Gil Aducal Morales, popularly known as Ate Gay, has shared a positive update on her ongoing battle with stage 4 cancer.
On Thursday, October 2, Ate Gay took to her Facebook page to express her gratitude and joy after noticing a remarkable improvement in her condition. The comedian revealed that the lump on her neck had noticeably decreased in size just days after beginning treatment.

“Ambilis ng pagliit ng bukol in 3days… 10cm naging 8.5 … maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat na nanalangin ng aking anggarang paggaling.. patuloy lang po…. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏,” she wrote.
Her post quickly garnered messages of love and encouragement from fans and fellow comedians who continue to pray for her full recovery.
Ate Gay first revealed her diagnosis in an emotional interview with Jessica Soho in September. She recalled how she initially thought the lump on her face was just a case of mumps until it started to grow rapidly.
“Parang beke lang siya noon. Hindi pantay ang mukha ko. Sabi ng mga kasama ko sa work, ‘Hindi pantay ang mukha mo, pa-check mo ‘yan.’ Nagpa-ultra sound ako at nagpa-CT scan. After CT scan, magpa-biopsy daw ako,” she said, recounting her experience.
She added, “Ang findings nu’ng una, benign. Nagpa-second opinion ako. May show ako sa Canada, medyo lumalaki na siya. At saka nagbi-bleed nang nagbi-bleed.”
After further tests, she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, a revelation that deeply shocked her and her supporters.

In a separate interview with Ogie Diaz, Ate Gay shared that her hope was restored when a kind benefactor stepped in to cover her medical expenses.
“May isang anghel na tumulong sa akin na libre ako doon sa napakamahal na hospital, napakagandang hospital, magagaling na mga doctor,” she said, expressing heartfelt gratitude. She added, “Natutuwa ako kasi may pag-asa na ako kasi nagbunga ‘yung mga dasal… Nilibre po ako sa chemo, sa radiation para mabuhay po ako.”
Ate Gay later revealed that the generous benefactor was connected to Gabay Guro, an organization she had previously performed for. She continues to thank her supporters, especially Allan K and her colleagues, for their prayers and encouragement as she continues her fight toward recovery.
